What are your top five weapons systems of WWII?

These are my five top weapon systems of WWII.

1) German 88, best over all weapon, anti-tank, anti-aircarft, and artillery. Probably extended European War by 6mons.

2) Essex Class aircraft carrier. Complete superiority over the Pacific, choked off Japan.

3)IL-2 Shturmovik tank busting aircraft. Shut down German qualitative armour superiority on the Eastern Front.

4)M1 Garand Rifle, the greatest infantry rifle of the war.

5)Not a traditional weapon system, but the war on battlefield infections, penicillin, probably saved more lives, except for not going to war.

I don't care if you agree or disagree I just want to see other people's opinions. What are your top five weapons systems of WWII?
I assume you mean in order of their impact.

1. the Tank. Although introduced in WW I it wasn't until WWII that it came to be the weapon it still is.

2. The Jet . In a stroke all the worlds Piston engine fighters were rendered obsolete and it set the way for the future of aviation.

3. The V2 rocket. A forerunner of all the missiles we have today and the first ICBM. If it wasn't invented we wouldn't have gotten to the moon as fast as we did.

4. The Atomic Bomb. Forever changed the world, forever. Enough said.

5. The type XXI U boat. Although its impact was not felt due to its late introduction, it radically altered submarine warfare and led to the modern submarines of today.
GUGBC, short for German Under Ground Balloon Corps automatic gasoline operated air-cooled schmizerkaputum Luftwaffe stun gun. What are your top five weapons systems of WWII?
1)gotta be the A-Bomb, saved millions of lives and ended the war

2)the German Jet aircraft, Fortunatly they werent produced until Germany had already pretty mush lost the war.

3)Blitzkrieg, not really a weapon but I think it should be on the list

thats all i got for now
There were many innovations in weapons during WWII. The spinning damn busting bomb, the recoiless rifle, the flame thrower, etc. I've always been partial to the Higgins boat. It was built here in New Orleans, by Andrew Higgins. The were the amphibious boats used in the D-Day landings, and many less well known battles. What are your top five weapons systems of WWII?
I'll second you on the Essex Class carrier.

The F6F Hellcat fighter

the P-51 Mustang

Second you on the M1 Garand
