Will Dice be doing weapon packs for Battlefield 3?

Knowing that the Back to Karkand DLC is including new weapons, vehicles, and a new game type, does anyone know if their downloadable content is going to be including weapons as a standard. I can imagine this knowing that Battlefield 3 came with slightly less weapons in general than that of Bad Company 2. Perhaps, that was a decision they made knowing that in the future, more weapons would be added. If not a definitive answer, any general incite or information about it would be helpful. Im pretty sure we will see more weapons in future DLC's.
